Some mid-range smartphones with powerful battery and processor

Smartphones are considered to be one of the biggest innovations in the field of technology and have truly transformed the lives of people in several ways. Without any doubt, India is one of the fastest-growing smartphone markets worldwide. The country has several brands under its belt that are available in various price segments along with the latest specifications. From the budget category to high-end premium and flagship smartphones, there are several choices available in the market.

Smartphones have almost become mini-computers for people as these help them to stream online videos along with carrying out official work. Keeping in mind the demand of people, phones are available with powerful features and specifications such as 6GB RAM, 2TB expandable storage, high internal storage options, powerful optical sensors, and so on.

But for the past one and a half years, people are demanding phones with powerful battery and processor. While the former helps to use the device more, the latter helps in running the device seamlessly. Hence, companies are now introducing powerful batteries and processors even in the mid-range phones along with other new features.

Before we move to the variety of smartphones, we would first like to mention the qualities you should look for before buying a smartphone:

Processor. A processor is considered to be the backbone of every device, and therefore a good chipset is also required for the smooth functioning of your phone. But, you must note that the processing power of a smartphone differs from one product to another due to various reasons such as user interface (UI), bloatware, operating system (OS), and more. If you want to use your phone for heavy-duty purposes such as gaming and editing photos and online documents, you should opt for Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 or Snapdragon 820/821. But if you are a light user, you can go for any phone with a good MediaTek processor.

Battery. It is the second most important criterion for buyers, especially for those who spend most of their time on phones every day. If you stream OTT platforms and play games, you need a smartphone with at least 3,500mAh battery. If you are an average user, a 3,000mAh backed phone is good for you. However, it also depends on the quality of the battery that a company uses. Also, you should check the battery backup time carefully.

Phone body. It is another important criterion that you must look for before purchasing a smartphone. Nowadays, phones are available in both plastic and metallic bodies, and some devices even have glass-coated panels. If you are someone who keeps dropping the phone, you should go for metal or plastic built handset. Glass body phones, on the other hand, are sure to produce cracks on falling, so you should avoid buying such phones.

Display. If you want to buy a phone for just checking emails, social networking, and clicking photos, you can choose a 12-14cm (approx. 5 to 5.5 inches) HD or full HD display phone. If you want a phone to stream videos, edit photos and videos, or download and view movies, a 14-15cm (approx. 5.5 to 6 inches) full HD or QHD resolution display would be a perfect choice.

Optical sensor. When we talk about optical sensors, many people have a misconception that high megapixels mean better quality pictures, which is not the case. A high megapixel might help you get a non-pixelated picture, but that doesn’t guarantee a crystal-clear image. Several specifications, such as camera aperture, ISO levels, pixel size, autofocus, and more, need to be considered. Most importantly, you will have to check the quality of the camera lens being used. Leica or Sony optical sensors always give you the best photos.
